The Royal trek is one of the best and shortest treks that offers the panoramic scenery of Mt. Annapurna south, Annapurna 3rd, Lamjung Himal, Ganesh Himal and some parts of Langtang ranges. It presents the real image of uniqueness and allowing us the golden opportunity to see the traditional lifestyles of the ethnic groups of Nepal whose ancient religion and customs are remained unchanged for thousands of years. It is located near the northern side of Pokhara valley and best trek for the beginners who are restricted by time to trek longer in Nepal during their short visit. It starts from Pokhara and ends at Begnas Lake. The tranquil heavenly place which gives you great chance to research the unique culture and get impressed due to their charming face. The less crowded, beautiful rice traces and green countryside makes your trek unforgettable. This trek can be done at any season but the best period is from August to June.

 

 

Brief itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m) by tourist bus 6/7 hours
Day 04: Drive Pokhara to Bijayapur and trek to Kalikasthan (1,370m) 3/4 hours
Day 05: Kalikasthan to Shyaklung (1,730m) 3/4 hours
Day 06: Shyaklung to Chisopani (1,550m) 4/5 hours
Day 07: Chisapani to Begnas Tal and back to Pokhara 4/5 hours
Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus
Day 09: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 10: Final departure

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport is the only one international airport of Nepal from where you will be welcomed with a great hospitality by the representative of United Brothers Trek and Expedition and transferred to the hotel. After having checked in the hotel, we will give you a short briefing about the trip and collect the essential documents (Passport and Photos) from you to issue the trekking permits. You can rest the leisure time exploring around and stay a night at the hotel with breakfast.

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

You can get up in the morning and have breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will come to pick you up at the hotel and take for full day sightseeing around Kathmandu valley (the world heritage site). At first, we will drive you to Swayambunath Temple. Swayambunath means self-originated Buddhist Temple which is known as Monkey Temple as well. It is located on the top of the hill from where you can see the superb view of the whole Kathmandu Valley. After having visited this holy temple, we will drive you to Boudha Stupa. It is a holy place for Buddhist and pilgrims which was slightly damaged during due the tremor of 2015 but later rebuilt. It is one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. From here, we will take you to Pashupatinath Temple that is pretty close from Boudhanth. Pashupatinath Temple, located at the bank of the Bagmati River is one of the biggest and most popular Shrines where you can behold for Hindus. Pashupatinath Temple which is the biggest Hindu Temple. You can see the ritual and cremation activities according to the Hindus Culture. At the end of the day, we will return back to the hotel. By the evening, we will take you to a Nepali restaurant for welcome dinner with typical Nepali cultural dance. At last, we will drop you to the hotel and spend a night with breakfast.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m) by tourist bus 6/7 hours

On the next day, early in the morning, we will go to the tourist bus station to head to Pokhara which takes approximately 6/7 hours. Pokhara is 200km far from Kathmandu and the journey commences with the beautiful scenery of Trishuli River, Manaslu Himal, Lamjung himal and the green countryside. After 6/7 hours of long drive we will get to Pokhara. Pokhara a beautiful city for tourist is the starting point of most of the short and longer treks of the western Nepal. It has its own value due to the tremendous view of Mt. Fishtail, Gangapurna, Annapurna iii, Lamjung Himal, Stupa view and Fewa Lake. You can visit, Devis Fall, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, Barahi Temple, World Peace Stupa and Sarangkot. World Peace Stupa and Sarangkot are the best view point of Pokhara from where you can see the picturesque views of entire Pokhara valley and mountains views of Annapurna range. We spend a night there with breakfast.

Day 04: Drive Pokhara to Bijayapur and trek to Kalikasthan (1,370m) 3/4 hours

Today, we drive to Bijayapur by private transport which takes around 30 minutes. From here,the trail goes through rice terraces near the army camp and gently climbs through Rakhigaun and arrives to a Chautra (resting place) under a large peepal tree. Then ascends again along a ridge top through Brahaman and Chhetri villages towards Kalikasthan. Kalikasthan is located on the elevation of 1370m where we stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 05: Kalikasthan to Shyaklung (1,730m) 3/4 hours

From here the way follows along the forested ridge top through Thulokot to Mathi Thana, where you can get few tea shops. The trail makes a short climbs, then reaches Naudanda. We continue our journey along the ridge and Lipni village with the beautiful scenery of green countryside. The trail again makes a short climbs through forests to the Gurung village. This village is located on the elevation of 1730m where we spend a night at tented camp.

Day 06: Shyaklung to Chisopani (1,550m) 4/5 hours

After having spent a night at Syaklung, we continue our journey to Chisapani with the beautiful scenery of Annapurna 3rd, Annapurna south, Lamjung Himal, Hiunchuli, Manaslu and much more. From here, the trail drops steeply down the south side of the hill to Chautara where a polis check post and few tea shops are located and then finally reaches to Chisapani. This is the main junction of West Begnas Tal and east to the Marsyangdi Khola. There is a small temple on the hill near Chisapani village from where you can see the superb views of the snow-capped if the weather is clear. We stay a night there at tented camp.

Day 07: Chisapani to Begnas Tal and back to Pokhara 4/5 hours

As usual, we start our trek after breakfast. From here, the route descends along the ridge for an hour, then again descends steeply on the stone paved route, into a small valley and arrives at Rupa Tal. We continue the trip through the rice fields, and then make a last ascent to the ridge that separates Begnas Tal and Rupa Tal. After that you will get to the main road and finally arrive at Begnas Tal. Begnas Tal is the most beautiful Lake. You can get many small tea shops nearby it. We catch a taxi on the same day to Pokhra which takes around 1 hour and spend a night in Pokhara at Lakeside.

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus

From Pokhara we will return back to Kathmandu by tourist bus which takes around 6/7 hours. We stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 09: Free day in Kathmandu

Today, you have whole day free. So, you can do shopping and prepare for your final departure. By the evening we will take you for farewell dinner and drop to the hotel after dinner.

Day 10: Final Departure to the airport

We will drop you to the airport for your final departure and say good bye until next visit.
