The combination of Gokyo Ri and Renjo La pass are taken as the best spot to observe the panoramic views of Everest region. Gokyo a small village of Sherpa which is located on the elevation of approximately 4800m near the bank of third Gokyo Lake (Dudh Pokhari).It is one of the most popular destinations of Everest trek for stunning Scenery of Mountains. The main aim to visit this place is to climb Gokyo Ri (5357) from where you can see the whole Everest range and Ngozumba glacier with the panoramic views of Choyu, Gezukhang, Tabuche, Gezu Ri, Everest, Lhotse, Pumori, Makalu and other numerous small mountains.Likewise, Renjo La is one main parts of three pass trek from where we can see the splendid scenery of the entire Everest region including Gokyo Lake, Mt. Makalu, Lhotse, Mt. Everest and much more. If you are physically and mentally prepared, you can do it from Sept to December and March to May.

 

Brief Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2610m) 4/5 hours

Day 04: Phakding to Namche (3440m) 6/7 hours

Day 05: Namche to Khumjung (3780m) 3/4 hours

Day 06: Khumjung to Dole (4200m) 5/6 hours

Day 07: Dole to Machhermo (4,470m) 4/5 hours

Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo (4790m) 4/5 hours

Day 09: Rest day at Gokyo

Day 10: Gokyo to Renjo La pass and trek to Lungden (4368m) 8/9 hours

Day 11: Lungden to Thame (3800m) 3/4 hours

Day 12: Thame to Namche (3440m) 4/5 hours

Day 13: Namche to Phakding (2610m) 5/6 hours

Day 14: Phakding to Lukla (2800m) 3/4 hours

Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 16: Final departure

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport is the only one international airport of Nepal from where you will be welcomed with a great hospitality by the representative of United Brothers Trek and Expedition and transferred to the hotel. After having checked in the hotel, we will give you a short briefing about the trip and collect the essential documents (Passport and Photos) from you to issue the trekking permits. You can rest the leisure time exploring around and stay a night at the hotel with breakfast.

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

You can get up in the morning and have breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will come to pick you up at the hotel and take for full day sightseeing around Kathmandu valley (the world heritage site). At first, we will drive you to Swayambunath Temple. Swayambunath means self-originated Buddhist Temple which is known as Monkey Temple as well. It is located on the top of the hill from where you can see the superb view of the whole Kathmandu Valley. After having visited this holy temple, we will drive you to Boudha Stupa. It is a holy place for Buddhist and pilgrims which was slightly damaged during due the tremor of 2015 but later rebuilt. It is one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. From here, we will take you to Pashupatinath Temple that is pretty close from Boudhanth. Pashupatinath Temple, located at the bank of the Bagmati River is one of the biggest and most popular Shrines where you can behold for Hindus. Pashupatinath Temple which is the biggest Hindu Temple. You can see the ritual and cremation activities according to the Hindus Culture. At the end of the day, we will return back to the hotel. By the evening, we will take you to a Nepali restaurant for welcome dinner with typical Nepali cultural dance. At last, we will drop you to the hotel and spend a night with breakfast.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2610m) 4/5 hours

We will take you early in the morning to the domestic airport to catch Luka flight. After 35 minutes of short flight with the lovely views of snowcapped mountain, we will land at the Tenzing Hillary airport Lukla. We meet there our crew (porters and staffs) and then continue our journey to Phakding. On the way, you can see Mt. Kusum Khangru and the unique and beautiful Sherpa village. It takes tentatively 4/5 hours and spend a night there at lodge.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche (3440m) 6/7 hours

Phakding is located at the bank of Dudhkosi River. From here, we hike to Namche bazaar which may take at least 6/7 hours. On the way you can see Mt. Thamserku, Kongde peak, Mit. Everest, Lhotse and few natural water falls. The way goes through Bankar, Manju, Jorsale village crossing the river several time and finally climbs up from the last highest suspension bridge to Namche. We arrive at Namche by the evening and stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Namche to Khumjung (3780m) 3/4 hours

Namche Bazaar is the main city of Sherpa community in Everest region where you can visit Sherpa Museum and Buddhist Monastery. From Namche Bazaar, the way gently ascends to Khumjung through small bushes and on the way to it, you can observe the wonderful view of Himalayan Sherpa kingdom (Namche Bazaar) along with the scenery of Kongde Peak, Thame Village, Amadablam, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku and much more interesting things which makes the trip easier and enjoyable. If you are Lucky, you will see the blue sheep and Lophophorus (Danfe the national bird of Nepal) while ascending. The way continues through pine forest again and arrives at Syangboche where we stop for short pause and have a cup of tea. Syangboche is the highest airport of the world and from here the trail again slightly steeps and passes a small ridge then climbs down and reaches at a small green Sherpa village. It is Edmund Hillary’s most loved village where you can visit Hillary’s School and Khumjung monastery. Inside of the monastery, you can see Yeti’s head. We stay a night here at a lodge.

Day 06: Khumjung to Dole (4200m) 5/6 hours

Khumjung is called the Green valley of Everest region. You can see entire roofs of the house here made of Zink. From here, the route descends around 45 minutes and then begins steep slowly. If the weather is clear, you can see the unbelievable scenery of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Kangteka and the green Khumbu dale along with Tengboche Monastery. After 3 hours of walking we will arrive at a small village situated on the top of the hill called Mong La where we stop for Lunch. From here the way descends till Phortse Tanga and then gently climbs up to Dole through small forest. We spend overnight at Lodge.

Day 07: Dole to Machhermo (4,470m) 4/5 hours

After having spent a wonderful night at the small Sherpa Village, we carry on our journey to Machhermo.The trail is steep in most places as it climbs through scrub junipers to Lapharma at 4220m. The trail continues through yak pasture and Luza then finally arrives at Machhermo.If the weather is clear we can see the picturesque view of Tawache, Khumbila and sunset on ridge of the snow-capped mountain. You can visit the high altitude doctor also for information for further trip. But don’t believe blindly what the doctor suggests to do. They are here only for their business purpose. Better to take the decision yourself by consulting to your guide. Namgyal lodge is the best lodge at this place. We spend a night at lodge.

Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo (4,790m) 4/5 hours

Machhermo is a small Sherpa Village and from here we continue our trek to Gokyo. Beyond Machhermo the trail ascends a ride for excellent view. From here the trail is pretty easy and flat till Panga Village at 4390m. In November1995 due to heavy snow an entire trekking group was killed by avalanche. The route again descends to the river bank before commencing the ascending on to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier. The trail goes through steep and rocky way then passes through 1st and 2nd Gokyo Lake where you can see a family of ducks has resided for many years. At the end of the day we arrive at 3rd Lake of Gokyo where we spend night at lodge.

Day 09: Rest day at Gokyo

On the next day, we get up early in the morning and go to Gokyo Ri to observe Sunrise with breathtaking views Mt. Choyu,Ngozompa Khang, Gyazungkhang, Pomori, Mt. Everest, Lhotse,  Makalu, Cholatse, Tabuchee, Gokyo village, Renjo la pass along with the entire Ngozumpa Glacier. After that we return back to Lodge and have breakfast and lunch. The leisure period we relax and explore around Gokyo.

Day 10: Gokyo to Renjo La pass and trek to Lungden (4368m) 8/9 hours

Today is the most difficult and longest way due to Renjo La pass. The pass looks pretty close from Gokyo but never gets there as you walk. The way goes through the bank of 3rd Gokyo Lake and then ascends till the pass. On the way, you can see the same unbelievable views that you have seen from Gokyo RI. From the top, the way constantly descends down passing beautiful yak pasture and some holy lakes and finally arrives at a small village called Lungden. We stay overnight there at lodge.

Day 11: Lungden to Thame (3800m) 3/4 hours

From here, we continue our journey to Thame and the entire way is down. Today, we will visit Thame monastery which is one of the oldest monastery of Everest region. It takes about 30 minutes from Thame village. We spend a night at Thame.

Day 12: Thame to Namche (3440m) 4/5 hours

Thame is a small beautiful Sherpa village. The trail descends and crosses the river then passes through small Sherpa village and dense forest of pine and juniper. On the way you can see different sorts of flora and fauna along with the picturesque view of Thame Himal and Kongde peak. At the end of the day, we will arrive at Namche and stay overnight at lodge.

Day 13: Namche to Phakding (2,610m) 4/5 hours

From Namche, we climb down again through the same way and stop at Monju for Lunch. After that we continue our journey to Phakding and spend a night at lodge.

Day 14: Phakding to Lukla (2,840m) 3/4 hours

Today is final day of our trek. We directly head to Lukla and celebrate the final day of our trek with our innocent porters and staffs. By the evening we will get together and distribute tips for them to thank for their hard works during the trek and say good bye. We spend a night at Lukla

Day 15: Lukla to Kathmandu (1,350m)

With the memory of our wonderful trek, today we fly back to Kathmandu and do shopping for our next destination.

Day 16: Final departure to Airport

Today, we will drop you to the airport and say good bye until you next visit.
