Manaslu Trek
Manaslu Trek

Manaslu trek is another popular trekking route in Nepal which starts from Ghorkha Arughat and ends at Besisahar. But recently, Jeep can go up to Soti Khola as well. This trek was officially allowed to do in 1991.The best way is to go by jeep to Soti Khola which saves and shortens your trek if you have limited time. This is restricted area and there must be minimum 2 people to take part in this trekking. It is remote and has no rescue and transportation facilities if you are tired. This route is famous due to Mt. Manaslu 8163m high. It is one of the highest mountains of the world which needs technic and training to climb it. It is the most difficult mountain for climbing due to avalanche. Every year, hundreds of expedition groups come to climb this mountain. Many climbers lost their life on this mountain while climbing. So, it is called man Swallower or Killer Mountain as well. The highest point of this trek is Larke La Pass.
The trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating. The inhabitants of the upper Buri Ghandaki, an area known as Nupri, are direct descendants of Tibet. Their speech, dress and customs are similar to Tibetan. You can see different kind of flora and fauna along with the unique culture. The mountain views in Nupri are outstanding, and the crossing of the Larke La Pass is one of the most dramatic passes of Nepal in the Himalaya. The trekkers must be physically strong capable to walk around 7/8 hours per day. The best season for this trek is September to November and March to May.
