Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal and a living museum is known as the city of temples. It is located on the elevation of 1350m.According to the history, it was a huge lake in ancient period and later the Goddess Manju Shree cut the Chobar hill with his swore, drained the water and made the proper land for human being. It has three major cites namely: Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Those three cities were separated kingdom in olden time. Later the King Prithavi Narayan Shan unified those entire small kingdoms into one kingdom and the entire valley became the capital city of Nepal. Hence, these three cities are popular till now due to its old Durbar Square. Here, Durbar means, palace in Nepali language.You can see hundreds of holy temples and monasteries in this valley. It is one of the beautiful cities of the world due to the magnificent snow-capped mountain view of Langtang range. You can do the entire sightseeing tour within 2 days.
