Pikey Peak trek is the most beautiful trekking trail of lower Solu due to its panoramic spot. Located on the elevation of 4065m, it is being popular recently because of its picturesque view and one can observe the excellent views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Number Himal and other hundreds of small snowcapped mountains along with sunrise from the summit. One can get there through different trail such as Jiri or Patale and Phaplu. The best and easiest way is from Patale. You can drive to Patale and then trek to Pikey peak. The trail goes through nice Sherpa village with unique culture where you will be welcomed with warm hospitality. You can see different sorts of flora and fauna along with old Buddhist monastery. It can be done mainly from August to end of May.

Details itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
On the first day of your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed at the airport by our airport representative and then transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing and preparation for trek
Today, we’ll go for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu mainly Swoyambunath temple, Boudhanath Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. By the evening, there will be welcome dinner.
Day 03: Drive to Patle (2,840m) 8/9 hours
We’ll go to Patale early morning by private jeep which takes approximately 8/9 hours. We take breakfast and Lunch on the way to Patale and stay overnight at Patale.
Day 04: Trek to Jhapre (3,000m) 5/6 hours
Patale is a lovely place. You can see Mt. Everest,Makalu along with other small peaks if the weather is fine. From here, the way descends down by passing the huge apple farm then continues through dense forest of pine and small Sherpa village with stone paved trail. As the trail at the main road, we have to go along the jeep road to Jhapre. We stop at Singane for lunch and trek to Jhapre. You can see the spectacular view of Numbur himal and Kerung village clearly on the way. We stay overnight at Jhapare.
Day 05: Trek to Lamuje (3,400m) 5/6 hours
Jhapre is a small village and you can visit a monastery here. The trail uphill till the destination and we have to go through the walking trail with the lovely views of Mt.Everest, Makalu, Numbur Himal. We stop at Bulbule for lunch and then continue to Lamuje where we spend a night.
Day 06: Trek to Pikey base camp (3,600m) 3/4 hours
Lamuje is a small village where only three lodges are available for accommodation. Today, the way is easy and nicer due to the picturesque views of the mountains and different sorts of flora and fauna. The maximum uphill trail is about 40 minutes and you can see yak and nak grazing on yak pasture today. We go directly for lunch camp today.
Day 07: Trek to Jasmane Bhanjyang (3,450m) 4/5 hours
Today, we start our journey early in the morning to see the sunrise from Pikey peak. The way is uphill till Pikey peak. There are two pikey peaks (Fera pikey and Gora pikey peak). We visit Fera Pikey peak (4,065m).You can see the unbelievable scenery of mountains (Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Langtang range, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Numbur himal along with sunrise. It is the best place of lower Solukhumbu trek to behold the mountains views. From, here the trail descends down to Jasmane Bhanjyang. It takes altogether 4/5 hours. We spend a night there at normal lodge.
Day 08: Trek to Junbesi (2700m) 6/7 hours
Jasmane Bhanjyang is located at the bottom of Pikey peak. From here, the trail ascends through bushy and small Junipers. We have to cross the hill and then the way descends down to Taktor where we stop for Lunch. After lunch we continue the journey to Junbesi. We stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 09: At Junbesi
Junbesi is a beautiful village. You can visit, Junbesi Monastery and Sela Monastery near by it. Today, after breakfast, you can go to Thuptenchhoing monastery. It is one of the popular monasteries of Solukhumbu. It takes about 2 hours from Junbesi on foot. Then you can come back to the lodge and rest.
Day10: Drive to Kathmandu 8/9 hours
We‘ll go directly to Kathmandu by private Jeep early in the morning which may take approximately 8/9 hours.
Day 11: In Kathmandu
You can rest and explore around the city. By the evening there will be a farewell dinner arranged by our company for you.
Day 12: Final Departure
We will drop you to the airport and wish you a nice and safe journey back home.
