Nagarkot is the popular destination for stunning Mountain View along with sunrise and sunset. It is located near Kathmandu valley where many good lodges are available for accommodation. Nagarkot is situated on the top of the hill from where you can see the magnificient views of entire Langtang range, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. It is a day’s hiking which starts from the famous Changunarayan Temple.
Changunarayan Temple is pretty close from Bhaktapur which was built during the period of King Mandev. It takes around 45 minutes by car from Kathmandu and on the way to it; you can visit the old Bhaktapur Durbar Square as well. We have to walk on foot from Changunarayan Temple and takes about 5 hours. The trail goes through small Tamang villages and green forest with the superb view of Kathmandu valley and green countryside. This trekking is suitable for everyone from children to adult and can be done at any time and season. It is suitable for those people who don’t have sufficient time but want to see the picturesque snow-capped mountain views during their short visit to Nepal.
