Langtang Tamang Heritage trek is the most interesting trekking route of Langtang region which offers beautiful scenery of Mountains view and unique Tamang’s life style. It starts from Syabrubesi and ends at the same place and it combines the half part of Langtang trek.It is believed that all the people of this region were migrated from Tibet through Kerung boarder many years ago to save their life during the Tibet war. Later, they started to take the citizenship of Nepal and changed their ethnicity toTamang. So, they became Tamang on the basis of their citizenship but they don’t understand Tamang language. Their speech, customs and dress are completely different with that of Tamang but similar with Tibetan. This trail is culturally and naturally rich due to their distinct culture, picturesque scenery and natural hot spring. On this trek, you can see the awesome views of Langtang range and Tibet border from Goljung Pass. Visitors will get an opportunity to observe the old Buddhist monasteries, Pray wheel, typical houses, and the cultural dacnes of the local people. The local people also sell exclusive handicraft items like traditional caps, mufflers and other items.
Briddim and Gatlang are the main villages where you will be welcomed by offering Khada. Here you can get the facilities of home stay as well for 24 hours. Trekkers can enjoy taking a bath in the natural hot spring. The friendly people, their great hospitality, the superb view of snowcapped mountain along with green countryside make the every moment of your trekking unforgettable. We commence the journey after a long drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The best season for this trek is September to December and March to May. This trek does not need any experience of trekking and everybody can do that smoothly. It is called family trek as well.
